Grandes películas han pasado por los Premios de la Academia y 96 títulos han sido reconocidos como la mejor película del año.

La categoría de Mejor Película en los Oscar se reserva siempre para el final de la ceremonia porque es uno de los premios más importantes y todas las películas nominadas desean ser las ganadoras, pero solo una se convierte en la gran vencedora. Este año, el premio fue otorgado a la cinta Oppenheimer, además de que Christopher Nolan se llevó el Oscar como Mejor Director.
